Unless your product or service is one-of-a-kind, you 've got competition. To beat them, you must ensure that you 're the key company, your customers to turn over all others. How do -
you do that if you 're new and small? Try these strategies: Use your size. You 're new, small and aggressive. Be more flexible than your competitors. Be prepared to emerge from self-imposed rules. (\ "We need 24 hours to fill large orders.") Promise personal attention-since you are the company, should \ be difficult. For Chuck and me, it's easy. We therefore everyone in the company that deals with us becomes our "personal attention." Service. Serve the customer above all else. In the overwhelming majority of cases, the service, not price, makes all the difference in obtaining an order from a customer and maintaining
over the long term. This means getting back to your customers. We always respond to e-mails 24 hours in many times before. In addition, we always ask customers back as soon possible.To often today, customer service is an afterthought. Make sure you 't fall into this trap, otherwise you won' be in business very long.Stay contact. At a time when even the smallest companies can have cell phones, pagers, voice mail, fax and e-mail, 's no excuse for not having to ask your customers. That doesn 't mean that you can' not have a life. It simply means that you can answer questions with little delay. Again, it means just to get back to people within a reasonable time, depending on their needs and not yours.Sacrifice. Take the time to hit on profits, lose a bit of sleep, do a little more, without necessarily sending an invoice. If you help a customer once or twice without finding a cheque
Return, you 'll remember. When it comes time for that customer instead of the next rder you 'll undoubtedly tops the list. This is something we stress in our PFYS students during their calls to sellers. Help them, give them some guidance, and it will come back to you. It's part of doing business to give something back.
